Ninh Thuan Tourism Set To Take Off

These activities attracted 450,000 international and domestic tourists. Dr. Pham Quoc Anh, the director of the Ninh Thuan Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the province is striving to welcome 1.3-1.4 million tourists by 2015 (of which international tourists will account for 14-15 percent), and 2.5-3 million tourists by 2020, of which international tourists will account for 19-20 percent. The tourism sector is expected to contribute eight percent to the province’s Gross Domestic Products (GDP) and create jobs for 10 percent of its workers by 2020. In order to achieve these goals, the tourism sector must be developed comprehensively, and must fully exploit the advantages of sea-based tourism, ecotourism and cultural tourism.

The province also will focus on developing sea-based tourism zones of Binh Tien, Binh Tien – Vinh Hy, Binh Son – Ninh Chu, Mui Dinh and Ca Na. The mountainous area of Bac Ai – Ninh Son, Ninh Phuoc offers great potential to build ecotourism zones. A cultural tourism zone in Phan Rang – Cham Tower, Thuan Bac with Trau River tours, luxurious resorts, the Ma Trai golf course, Suoi Tien – Binh Tien tourists site and Hoa Lai tower is being considered as well. Ninh Thuan is striving to welcome 1.3-1.4 million of tourists by 2015, of which international tourists will account for 14-15 percent, that will contribute 12 percent to the province’s GDP and create jobs for 13 percent of local workers..

In addition, the province will develop high quality tourism projects and offer investors favorable conditions to attract more investment in provincial tourism and tourism services, while promoting community tourism.. . Cultural tourism combined with preservation and promotion of the tangible and intangible cultural values of local people will be the core of tourism development programs.
