Phu Sang National Park is located in Chiang Kham district of Phayao province and Thoeng district of Chiang Rai province. The 285 square kilometers area is the watershed of many streams in Phayao, and is comprising of hill evergreen, deciduous and dipterocarp forests.
The major place of interest is Phu Sang waterfall. The water pours down this single level waterfall to the pool below. The prominent feature of this 25 meters high waterfall is 33 to 35ºC warm water from a spring above the fall. The warm spring contains water whole year and there is no Sulphur in the water. There are caves with stalactites and stalagmites; and there are streams inside some caves.
