Day 1: Northern Vietnam Trekking Tour to Ba Be, Ban Gioc, Cao Bang, Lang Son: Hanoi Adventure Tours to Thai Nguyen – Trekking Tours in Ba Be National park (L, D)

Pick up at hotel. Then, travel through the rich farmland of the Red River Delta with a stop in Thai Nguyen City where we’ll pay a visit to the Vietnam Ethnology Museum, an interesting collection of the artifacts illustrating the ways the mountainous ethnic people live. Have a lunch with traditional Vietnamese food.

Leaving behind the delta, you’ll start climbing up the mountainous roads towards to Ba Be National Park which is located in the middle of Limestone Mountains. On arrival, we’ll take 30- minute boat trip to Pac Ngoi village where we’ll find our homestay for tonight. Hosted dinner by the local Tay people.

Day 2: Northern Vietnam Trekking Tour to Ba Be, Ban Gioc, Cao Bang, Lang Son: Ba Be Lake Adventure Trekking Tours to Cao Bang – Cao Bang Sightseeing Package Tours (B/L)

This morning, after breakfast at homestay we’ll explore the Lake by boat. Ba Be is surrounded by rugged limestone mountains, the largest natural mountain lake in Vietnam. This important eco-system is best known for its over 330 species of butterflies. When reaching the end of the lake, we’ll stop for a trek to Dau Dang waterfall. This 100m high, three-level waterfall makes the scenery even more magnificent.. Afterward, meet your Jeep to drive north through the lush mountain Passes to the city of Cao Bang.

Day 3: Northern Vietnam Trekking Tour to Ba Be, Ban Gioc, Cao Bang, Lang Son: Cao Bang Adventure Trekking Tours to Ban Gioc Waterfall (B/L) 

This morning, we’ll take a jeep ride to the beautiful Ban Gioc waterfall near the Chinese border. This picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters. The drive there offers unique landscapes, limestone karst formations soar from the verdant rice paddies of the surrounding farms of local ethnic minorities. Along the way, you’ll see Tay, Hmong and Dzao ethnic minority groups.

Later this morning, drive back to Cao Bang. On the way we’ll stop to explore the expansive 2, 144 meter Nguom Ngao Cavern where the brilliant stalactites are so impressive. Nguom Ngao means “tiger’s cave” in the language of the local Tay ethnic minority. It is said that a long time ago, many fierce tigers sheltered in the cave and would enter the nearby village to hunt for livestock and even human.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit the city market before going back to the hotel where you spend the rest of day at leisure.

Day 4: Northern Vietnam Trekking Tour to Ba Be, Ban Gioc, Cao Bang, Lang Son: Cao Bang Trekking Tours to Phuc Hoa – Dong Khe – Homestay in That Khe (B/L)

After breakfast, we’ll take 4-h drive to Ta Lung national entrance to visit this remarkable gate. Have lunch there.

After lunch, trek along the valley and limestone mountain from Ta Lung to La village for about 15 km distance. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight at the Tay’s stilt – house.

Day 5: Northern Vietnam Trekking Tour to Ba Be, Ban Gioc, Cao Bang, Lang Son: La Village Trekking Tours – Homestay Tours at Na Nieng Village  (B/L)

Today is an intensive day. After breakfast at the homestay, we’ll climb up the mountains to Na Nieng village, which is home of Tay ethnic minority covered by the lush of jungle forest and mountain ranges. Lunch is served on the way.

We’ll reach the village in the late afternoon. Overnight at the Tay’s stilt house.

Day 6: Northern Vietnam Trekking Tour to Ba Be, Ban Gioc, Cao Bang, Lang Son: Na Nieng Trekking Tours to Pac Khoang Village – Homestay Tours (B/L/D) 

After breakfast, leave the Na Nieng village to Dong Khe town on walk 12km. Lunch in Dong Khe. Continue to the Pac Khoang village – the habitat of Red Dao minority. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight at the Red Dao ‘s village

Day 7: Northern Vietnam Trekking Tour to Ba Be, Ban Gioc, Cao Bang, Lang Son: Pa Khoang Trekking Tours to Na Pang – Homestay Tours (B/L/D)

After breakfast, trekking through limestone valley, the small streams. Stop for lunch. Continue walking to Na Pang village, Trang Dinh district – Lang Son to enjoy the taste of Tay minority lifestyle. Dinner and overnight at Tay’s stilt-house 

Day 8: Northern Vietnam Trekking Tour to Ba Be, Ban Gioc, Cao Bang, Lang Son: Na Pang Adventure Trekking Tours to That Khe – Lang Son – Hanoi(B)

After having breakfast, trekking to That Khe town – a historical relic in the first Indochina war and home of the speical food of duck roast. In the afternoon, we’ll drive back Hanoi with a stop over in Lang Son.

End the tour.
