Overview
Starting from Luangprabang, daily we are providing cruising trips on Mekong River to Pak Ou Cave. On this tour, You will come to see the famous Tam Ting Cave houses thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes, all brought there by devoted villages. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai where they make potent rice wine
Your Itinerary
Near Pak Ou (mouth of the Ou river) the Tham Ting (lower cave) and the Tham Theung (upper cave) are caves overlooking the Mekong River, 25 km to the north of Luang Prabang, Laos. They are a group of two caves on the west side of the Mekong river, about two hours upstream from the center of Luang Prabang, and have become well known by tourists.
The caves are noted for their miniature Buddha sculptures. Hundreds of very small and mostly damaged wooden Buddhist figures are laid out over the wall shelves. They take many different positions, including meditation, teaching, peace, rain, and reclining (nirvana).

The boat trip takes us on the Mekong River giving us a chance to explore the tranquil countryside and the riverine life. After two-hour cruise upstream we arrive at Pak Ou where the famous Tam Ting Cave houses thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes, all brought there by devoted villagers. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai where they make potent rice wine. The trip ends after arrival in Luang Prabang.
