Your Itinerary

We depart from our Office in Luang Prabang for a transfer to our kayaking starting point at the village of Ban Nam Ming, about 2 hours drive south of Luang Prabang. The Nam Ming River makes its way through a steep-sided forested valley. Its riverbanks are covered with dense forest, often consisting of old trees – the ideal habitat for a wide variety of birds. There are some fun rapids before the Nam Ming feeds into the Nam Khan. In the afternoon, we get to a beautiful spot with cold springs, perfect for bathing and relaxing. We then spend more time for paddling, passing villages set in a landscape featuring rugged limestone mountains. The trip ends when we reach Ban Done Mo, where a pick-up awaits us for transfer to Luang Prabang.
