The perfect combination of elephant ride and trekking is carefully designed for adventurous fervors. Today we depart the hotel at 8h30 and drive towards Lao Spirit Resort, 15 km out of town. This property is set in a wonderful mountainous surrounding. On arrival, we see the Asian Elephants and begin a scenic ride of an hour and a half along the Nam Khan River through the lush and green forests to the amazing Tad Sae waterfall. This is an enjoyable stop for lunch and breather near the cascades. We get well off the beaten track as we embark on a walk venturing into this stunning mountain area.
Along the way, we stop at a Khmu Village to explore the local lifestyle of villagers who are almost fishermen and farmers living from their slash and burn tradition. They even speak a different language but our guide are in hand to help you ask questions. We continue our walk along the steep mountainside to the newly jungle camp. Another swim in a crystal clear river is a wonderful option. The trip ends on arrival in Luang Prabang.
