Laos Daily Tours: Luang Prabang Tours of Elephant Rides & Kayaking on Nam Khan River
The elephant ride followed by kayaking will make for an exciting exploration of mountainous region around Luang Prabang. Today we depart hotel at 8h30 and drive towards Lao Spirit Resort, 15 km out of town. This property is set in a wonderful mountainous surrounding. On arrival, we see the Asian Elephants and begin a scenic ride of an hour and half along the Nam Khan River through the lush and green forests to the amazing Tad Sae waterfall. This is an enjoyable stop for lunch and breather near the cascades. The local guide will provide some orientation and instruction in paddling technique. We embark on a rubber kayak for a 4 hour thrilling trip on the Nam Khan River. The kayak reaches high speeds sometimes when racing across the rapids down to Luang Phabang. This water sport gives a great view of the wonderful landscape and villages close up. The trip ends on arrival in Luang Prabang.
