Day 2: Vietnam Tour from Halong Bay to Phu Quoc Beach Relaxation : HANOI CITY TOUR (B/-/-)

Today you’ll be on a full day tour to discover the soul of Hanoi. First, enjoy a tour by cyclo around the old quarter streets, an interesting introduction of the city.  Disembark at the Ba Dinh Square where stands the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh who led Vietnam to independence from French colonial rule. This site has become an important city landmark and a perfect place to learn more about Vietnam’s rich history. From there, wander through the beautiful surrounding gardens toward the One Pillar Pagoda and Presidential Palace, where a replica of Ho Chi Minh’s simple working space is on display. Continue to the Temple of Literature, which is well known as the first university of Vietnam.

Afternoon, tour the Vietnam History Museum which displays a great collection of artifacts illustrating the country’s history from its dawn. Follow it with a cyclo ride through the 36 old streets which is the perfect introduction to the local life. Disembark to enjoy the water puppet show, a unique traditional art form, and expression of cultural identity. The performance captures Vietnamese traditions; farming, tending buffaloes, and catching fish; entertainment, like swimming contests and lion dancing; and historical legends with traditional music. The one-hour show is a fun and insightful look into Vietnamese culture enjoyed by both adults and children.

Day 3: Vietnam Tour from Halong Bay to Phu Quoc Beach Relaxation  HANOI- HALONG, OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE (B/L/D)

After having breakfast at the hotel, we journey northeast through the rich farmland of the Red River delta to Vietnam’s greatest natural wonder, Halong Bay. On arrival, we’ll board a beautiful traditional junk and spend a full day and night cruising the bay’s 3000 magnificent limestone islets. In the evening when the boat is anchored in the middle of the stunning lagoon, we enjoy a wonderful seafood meal and later there is an opportunity for an evening swim from the side of the boat. Kayaks are also available if specified at time of booking. Spend the night on our luxurious boat.

Day 4: Vietnam Tour from Halong Bay to Phu Quoc Beach Relaxation : HALONG BAY- HAI PHONG- HO CHI MINH CITY (B/-/-)

Wake up to fresh coffee before cruising back to the shore. En route the junk weaves through impressive rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons and even further! After lunch, we disembark and drive to Hai Phong airport to catch up the domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

On arrival at Tan San Nhat airport, you’ll be met and transferred to the hotel for check-in. Free then.

Day 5: Vietnam Tour from Halong Bay to Phu Quoc Beach Relaxation : SAIGON PACKAGE CITY TOUR (B/-/-)

Today is spent discovering this frenetic HCM City, formerly named as Saigon and nowadays becomes Vietnam’s financial hub. The city is not only known as the most important economic center in Vietnam but also has some very imposing colonial architecture which belies in fascinating past. First, tour in Saigon’s China Town, then learn about traditional Vietnamese medicine at the FITO Museum and browse through the amazing array of goods at Ben Thanh Market.

Stop for lunch then continue on the city tour with a visit to the War Remnants Museum and former Presidential Palace. Finally, stop at the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office to admire the city’s French colonial architecture before finding the way back to the hotel to conclude the day.

Day 6: Vietnam Tour from Halong Bay to Phu Quoc Beach Relaxation : SAIGON- MEKONG, STAY OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE (B/L/D)

After breakfast, your guide meets you at your hotel and transfer on 2.5 hour driving to Cai Be by private car. Embark your cruise at the noontime and start the Mekong Delta discovery. Stop along the way for glimpses of local handicrafts that provide a living for the river people. Observe from the comfort of your boat life as it plays out on the riverbanks – the people, the stunning landscapes – while your attentive crew serves tea and seasonal fruit. Before arriving at Sa Dec, go ashore to visit a pottery factory where everything is made by hand and all is recycled. Arrive in Sa Dec and take a stroll to the outdoor market. Visit the local celebrity: the ancient house of Huynh Thuy Le, real-life character of the novel and film “The Lover by Marguerite Duras”.

Lunch is served on board while cruising towards Can Tho along a narrow canal teeming with life. You will pass monkey bridges and tiny villages before stopping for a visit to a Cao Dai Temple. Cycle or row in a small boat around the countryside to explore the surroundings. Your last stopover before sunset is at an ancient house, a “Nha Co” dating back to the 19th Century. The owner welcomes you and a candlelit dinner is served in this authentic countryside setting. After dinner return on board while Song Xanh continues its cruise towards Hau River.

Day 7: Vietnam Tour from Halong Bay to Phu Quoc Beach Relaxation : MEKONG- SAIGON (B/-/-)

Early wake-up for a visit to the famous Cai Rang Floating Market up at 6h00 A.M which only operates from 5h00 to 8h00 A.M every day. Breakfast is served on board while the Song Xanh navigates towards the market among local barges laden with fruit and vegetables. Be sure to have your camera ready! Later on, cruise towards Victoria Can Tho and disembark at the hotel’s private jetty. Your driver waits for you at the dock and transfers you back to Saigon.

Day 8: Vietnam Tour from Halong Bay to Phu Quoc Beach Relaxation : SAIGON- PHU QUOC by FLIGHT (B/-/-)

A trip to Vietnam would not be completed without a few days of relaxation, and idyllic Phu Quoc rates amongst Vietnam’s most secluded destinations. Phu Quoc which is the largest among the islands in Vietnam is best known for its white sand, azure waters, lingering sunsets as well as impressive mountains and rainforests.

After breakfast, our driver will pick you up from your hotel to Tan Son Nhat Airport for a short flight to Phu Quoc. Upon arrival, transfer to your resort to check in. Rest of the day, you are free at leisure to swim on the resort’s beach or explore the Duong Dong Town.

This morning, drive through Long Beach and Duong Dong Town to the An Thoi harbor where you will board a boat that will take you to your ocean adventures. First, you will fish in the crystal waters and learn about local fish species before snorkeling for about one hour. Enjoy lunch and fresh fruit aboard the boat while you soak in the sun. After lunch, go for the second round of snorkeling to enjoy the warm water and the colorful fish swimming around the vibrant coral reefs. On the return, you will stop on the hidden Sao Beach to enjoy swimming on pristine white sands and sparkling turquoise water.
