The Traditional Cotton Woven Village is located in Tambon Tha Pha, around 3 kilometres from Mae Chaem District Office. The local people of this district are very skillful in weaving ‘Teen Chok’ cotton. This traditional fabric is very unique in colour and design. Around 150 households produce this distinctive cotton, each has its own cotton weaving machine, or loom. Visitors can spot the cotton-weaving process and shop around for colourful and unique cotton, available at value-for-money price.
To visit the Traditional Cotton Woven Village, take Chom Thong — Mae Chaem line local truck (Song Thaeo) from Amphoe Chom Thong Market at Wat Phra That Si Chom Thong to Mae Chaem Hospital. Operating time is from 09.00-17.00. The fare is around 45 Baht. Take a chartered van or Song Thaeo to the village. The fare is around 100 Baht.
