This “INDOCHINA TOUR OF WORLD WONDERS” is to connect you with all the major wonders in the Indochina. Begin the journey with a luxury junk in the magnificent Halong Bay, exploring the stalagmites and stalactites in Phong Nha Cave, cruising along the romantic Perfume River in ancient Hue, strolling the old streets in peaceful riverside of Hoi An before enjoying the sunrise over Angkor Wat and immersing yourself in the fascinating Pak Ou of the imperial Luong Prabang. All of these World Heritage sites will come out lively once you are with us.

On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you are met by our guide and transferred to hotel. The capital of Vietnam, Hanoi is a stylish and gracious city that retains a unique old world charm and some Asia’s most striking colonial architecture. The many lakes and parks make for relaxing atmosphere. If time permits we enjoy a short cyclo ride through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places.

DAY 2: Indochina Tour Of World Wonders to Vietnam Cambodia Laos: HANOI FULL-DAY SIGHTSEEING TOURS (B/-/-)

Today we commence our exploration of Hanoi with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which contains the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this complex is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city. We follow it with a visit to the Temple of Literature, which is well known as the first university of Vietnam and the History Museum with an excellent collection of artifacts illustrating the Vietnamese history.

Later on, we will take a short visit at Hilton Prison where the American POW were captured & detained from 1967 till 1973 to review a part of Vietnam War. We conclude the day with a fantastic water puppet performance.

DAY 3: Indochina Tour Of World Wonders to Vietnam Cambodia Laos: HANOI SIGHTSEEING TOURS TO HALONG BAY – HALONG BAY CRUISE TOURS (B/L/D)

Today we journey east through the rich farm land of the Red River Delta to Halong Bay, Vietnam’s greatest natural wonder. Arrival at around 12:00 we’ll board a nice junk and set sails. From the comfort of our sampan, we’ll spend the day exploring this incredible setting and discovering the many islands and islets found in the bay made famous in the film Indochina and the latest Skull Island.

HALONG BAY CRUISE TOURS

You can challenge yourself with kayaking and swimming. In the evening when the boat is anchored in the middle of the stunning lagoon, we enjoy a wonderful seafood meal and later there is opportunity for an evening swim from the side of the boat. Spend the night on boat.

DAY 4: Indochina Tour Of World Wonders to Vietnam Cambodia Laos: HA LONG BAY CRUISE TOURS – HANOI RAILWAYS STATION – NIGHT TRAIN TO DONG HOI (Brunch/-)

Wake up to fresh coffee before cruising back to the shore. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons and even further! After lunch we disembark and return to Hanoi.

In the evening, our bus will pick you to go Hanoi Railways Station, you will have a Night train to Dong Hoi, gateway to Phong Nha- another Natural World Heritage Site.

DAY 5: Indochina Tour Of World Wonders to Vietnam Cambodia Laos: DONG HOI SIGHTSEEING TOURS TO PHONG NHA CAVES – OVERNIGHT IN DONG HOI (B/-/-)   

06h30: Arrive in Dong Hoi, our guide and driver will pick you up & transfer to have breakfast. Then we start the tour to visit Phong Nha caves. Boat trip to visit one of UNESCO Natural World Heritages with beautiful limestone formations, grottoes and caves, and boasts lush forestland covering 95 percent of the park area.   

Back to the town later this afternoon. Check in hotel and spend the remainder of day at leisure.

PHONG NHA CAVES

DAY 6: Indochina Tour Of World Wonders to Vietnam Cambodia Laos: DONG HOI- HUE, AFTERNOON HUE SIGHTSEEING TOURS AT IMPERIAL CITADEL AND ROYAL TOMBS (B/-/D) 

After breakfast at hotel, we travel overland to Hue. On arrival at around noon, check in the hotel and have a short break.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit Hue’s most outstanding attractions. Once the capital city of Vietnam, Hue still retains much of her ancient charm such as regal architecture, leisurely pace of life, quintessential cuisine, and so on. Start with a boat trip on the Perfume River to Hue’s best-known religious site, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. To round off the evening, a sample of royal dinner is perfect.

DAY 7: Indochina Tour Of World Wonders to Vietnam Cambodia Laos: HUE OVERLAND SIGHTSEEING TOURS TO HOI AN – HOI AN SIGHTSEEING TOURS (B/-/-)

After breakfast, we’ll depart for Hoi An charming riverside town, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way, we stop at the mausoleum of former emperor Minh Mang, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes.

After the scenic 4-hour drive via Hai Van Pass which offers spectacular views of mountains, the sea, idyllic beaches and villages, we’ll arrive into Hoi An, which was originally one of major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16th century and is now a real live museum.

HOI AN SIGHTSEEING TOURS

In the afternoon, we’ll be on foot to explore the ancient quarter of Hoian, visiting the Japanese covered bridge, an old merchant house, a Chinese Assembly hall, and the Culture Museum. Hoian is a charming place that manages to retain Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and European influences from its unique and ancient history.

We’ll conclude the day with a boat ride along the romantic Thu Bon River while enjoying the sunset from aboard.

DAY 8: Indochina Tour Of World Wonders to Vietnam Cambodia Laos: HOIAN SIGHTSEEING TOURS TO MY SON SANCTUARY (B/-/-)

Today, we have a half-day trip in the morning to visit My Son, the religious Centre of the former Champa Kingdom and is known as another UNESCO World Heritage Site on the trip. Here, 40km southwest of Hoi An, in a lush green valley, are dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the seventh and thirteenth centuries.

Back to Hoian for lunch (client’s own account).

Afternoon free for shopping and further discovery of Hoian.

DAY 9: Indochina Tour Of World Wonders to Vietnam Cambodia Laos: HOI AN – DANANG – FLIGHT SIEM REAP (B/-/-)

After breakfast, we’ll be transferred to Da Nang airport to catch up the noon flight to Siem Reap, the provincial capital and gateway to the ancient Angkor temples which are best known as another UNESCO World Heritage City.

On arrival, meets up with our local guide and drive to check in the city centrally located hotel. Have a short break then.

Later on, take 30- minute Tuk Tuk orientation tour that is the best introduction of Siem Reap. Free evening allows a walk in the vibrant pub streets or you can find a luck in the night market.

DAY 10: Indochina Tour Of World Wonders to Vietnam Cambodia Laos: SIEM REAP SIGHTSEEING TOURS (B/-/D) 

Rise up early to pick up the most beautiful, haunting and spiritual moment to visit magnificent Angkor Wat at dawn. Angkor Wat, the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was constructed by Suryavarman II who reigned Cambodia from 1113 to 1152 and built the five towers in the 12th century and dedicated them to the Hindu God Vishnu. The plan of the pyramidal conception of the temple combined with spaces, alleys and ditches is an ancient masterpiece of architectural design and construction.

Our journey continues with a visit to Ta Prohm Temple, which is a wonderful combination of human genius and natural beauty with its giant trees that have grown there for centuries. Later, we visit to monumental temple of Bayon which is the heart of Angkor Thom followed by the Elephant Terrace, Terrace of the Leper King and Takeo “Jewel of Crystal”, which is dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva and was erected at the end of the 10th century.

Tonight, we’ll be honored our guests the Khmer dinner with Afsara dance show included.

DAY 11: Indochina Tour Of World Wonders to Vietnam Cambodia Laos: SIEM REAP- FLIGHT TO LUONG PRABANG (B/-/-) 

After breakfast at hotel, we’ll visit the indoor Siem Reap National Museum which has fascinationg collections of artifacts illustrating the local culture. Then, transfer to the airport for a short flight to Luong Prabang, the ancient first capital of Lane Xang kingdom, the center of religious life in Laos and today the World Heritage City.

On arrival, our local guide will meet and take you to the Palace Museum which houses an eclectic collection, including statues, mosaic covered walls, French mirrors, and a piece of moon rock given to “the people of Laos” by President Nixon. We then challenge the steps up Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view. Take a leisurely walk through the iridescent Night Market at the foot of Mount Phosi to see a lovely array of handicrafts.

DAY 12: Indochina Tour Of World Wonders to Vietnam Cambodia Laos: LUONG PRABANG SIGHTSEEING TOURS (B/-/-)

Early rise to take the fantastic opportunity to watch or participate in the unique daily morning ritual, where hundreds of saffron-clad monks walk in procession collecting offerings of sticky rice from devout residents along the roadsides.

After breakfast we embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River to the mysterious Pak Ou, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by devoted pilgrims. We also visit Ban Xangkhong and Ban Xienglek where local people produce traditional textiles and jute paper. Return to town and tour the most outstanding temples: Wat Visoun with the watermelon-shaped roof, Wat Xiengthong with the sweeping roofs, Wat Sene boasting the most dazzling facade of all Luang Prabang temples, Wat Aham – the “Monastery of the blossomed Heart”, and Wat Mai – the largest and most richly decorated of the temples in town.

After breakfast, it’s time for your independent exploration until the transfer to the airport for the departure flight home
